O.M.G It’s been awhile!

Hi all,
I know it’s been a bit since I’ve been here. We’ve had family health issues along with our own health issues, one after another. It seems things are calming down a bit now and I will be getting back to work on things.

Honestly there are sooooo many social sites that it is just difficult to figure where to start and where to leave it alone! I will definitely down sizing to say the least.

What do you all think of Adam Lambert!! Good lord, I just love his freaky deakyness!! Rumors around the net claim he is gay. My gay-o-meter went off the first time I watched him interview for American Idol and quite honestly, I don’t know what the big deal is. He is handsome and he has a great voice and that is all that should matter. Heck, he has given me reason to love music again. I can’t say that for anyone else for the past couple of years.

Twilight Tea Party!! Hey, Divas …

Well, tonight is the Twilight Tea Party and I can’t wait!!  My son also loves these things, isn’t that funny??  He’s a pretty cool kid and at the age of 10 still very close to me.  I am very lucky about that, he is still huggy and kissy!!!  He is also getting ready for his orchestra concert tomorrow afternoon, so we have the sound of the violin going on throughout the house today.

My evening dress I picked out about 2 months ago, which is when I received the invitation.  I love these social events, and the house that it is being held at is just amazingly beautiful and the yard meticulously landscaped.  Of course a twilight tea party is held outside and beholds all the elegance that a normal tea party would have, except wonderful candles all over and non intrusive yard lights or tiki torches.  The abeyance is really nice, and on the hot summer evenings such as this, different flavors of iced tea are served in wine glasses or martini glasses.

Well, I need to get moving, I’ll let you know how things go and how the other Diva’s behaved….which is pretty good, but sometimes a “Diva” will show up that thinks her shit don’t stink, and that is not really a Diva at all!!!

Have a wonderful night;

DivaB in a Day July 13

We are often known as “The Poodle People” yep, that would be us.  The reason being is that we have 9 dogs, 7 of those being poodles.  We raise teacup and tiny toy poodles so we are very busy.  I am always trimming, washing, and grooming them so they always look their best.

This started out with one red, teacup poodle, which we fell head over heels for, then it became an obsession with my husband….and thus my job off the internet.  Between social events, my online business, plus getting ready to launch my next online business, and my son, I don’t seem to have any time for myself.

We went to our summer cottage this weekend, and thus had to take two vehicles in order to get everyone there comfortably.  Lets face it, the three of us, plus 9 dogs in a truck simply won’t work.  I would go nuts for one.  Hell, it just may push me totally over the edge.  However, we all got here in one piece and safely.  My “vacation” weekend has consisted of making sure my son doesn’t fall into the river, try to get in some swim time with him, fish with him, sling shot paint balls with him, doing a head count of the poodles every 20 seconds, cooking dinner, trying to hide from the neighbors,  washing mud from places it just shouldn’t be, let alone trying to figure out how the mud got there, washing dishes by hand, and having major….I mean major capachinno withdrawls and dealing with intrusive thoughts of the “black mold” downstairs and if we might die……………My God, I’m just having a wonderful time, really, I am!!

You know?  Being married is difficult at times…no matter how old or young you are.  My husband and I don’t argue too much, but we do get very frustrated with one another.  He is very dependent on people being around him, especially me; I on the other hand am not reliant on having others around me at all.  As a matter of fact, I usually do better in all aspects of my life when alone.  Perhaps this has something to do with me growing up as the only child.  I just know that I am content with myself.

Now don’t get me wrong, I don’t want to be alone 24/7 and 365 days a year.  I would go nuts without my son, and don’t want to go a day without seeing him.  As for “husbands”, quite honestly I’d be okay with every other weekend or something…or when we have plans to do something together or as a family.

My grandmother told me a while back that my great aunt has a “special friend” that she has been seeing for quite some time.  (your never too old!!)  I guess they do things together when they want to, and the rest of the time she is in control of her own life and her own feelings.  My grandmother doesn’t exactly approve of this.  I immediately thought that it sounded like a pretty nice arrangement.  My great aunt always does seem happy, and she certainly travels a lot…some times with her “friend”.

Now that I’ve said all of this, I need to express that I love my husband very much, I just don’t always like him.  I don’t want anything bad to ever happen to him, I was just expressing how some people need other people far more than others.  Different strokes for different folks I guess.
